Leadership Announcement

To Our Valued Partners,

We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the WestPac/Virtus leadership team. Effective 10/15/18, Gloria Jimenez joined us as an Executive Vice President for both WestPac and Virtus where she will be working alongside the leadership team to help develop underwriting, marketing, and other strategic endeavors. Gloria will also be responsible for maintaining her own book of business for both entities as we expand our offerings to agents.

Gloria brings an extensive insurance industry background with leadership positions at both the carrier and wholesale levels. Specifically, she was the Regional Marketing Manager for the Denver Branch of Crum and Forster and later acted as the VP/Branch Manager for Seneca Insurance Company's Denver Branch. More recently for the past eleven years, Gloria was the VP/Branch Manager of a competing MGA where she expanded their footprint in the Rocky Mountain Region by growing a diverse book of excess and surplus lines business.

Gloria is a Colorado native like many at WestPac and Virtus. She is originally from Pueblo, CO and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Gloria and her husband, Bill now live in Broomfield, CO and enjoy spending time with their new granddaughter, Natalie.

Please help welcome Gloria to the WestPac and Virtus family. Gloria's leadership skills, technical insurance knowledge, and ability to service relationships yielded great success in her past endeavors and thus all at WestPac/Virtus are honored to have her join the team.

Best regards,

Rick Richter - President, WestPac

                      Eric Richter - President, Virtus

OSHA Proposes New Rules for Crane Operators

Proposed changes to the Crane and Derricks construction standard, would amp up training requirements where employers would have to evaluate crane operators, regardless of their previous licenses or third-party evaluations. The days of grandfathers certifications may be over, however it will provide the employer the opportunity to train their new operators in how they would like them to operate, and potentially eradicate bad old habits.

2019 1Club Charity Classic

Registration time is upon us. We want to give our players and sponsors plenty of time to put together a team and/or sponsorship for this year's 2nd Annual 1Club Charity Classic! The tournament will still be a 9 hole, 1 club best ball tournament; with teams playing from one of two nines at the beautiful Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood, CO.

The goal is for this to be a very interactive, fun experience; so think about sending not only Executives, but Producers, Account Managers, CSR's, non-golfers, etc. We will have a wide variety of office staff from both organizations represented, in an effort to grow our relationships with our Agency and Carrier Partners.

We're excited to see new and old faces and to be able to support a great cause in HomeAid Colorado.

Keep an eye out for our Tuesdays at Ten for more information on registration and sponsorship opportunities.
